Samara 2.0 (Slim/Fat)
- In stock
The evolution of our legacy NVG lanyard is here. We’ve taken all the feedback from our customers and made our trusted lanyard even better. What’s different? Our Samara now features a spring clip, a built-in channel to secure the cord, and an increased adhesion surface. It also comes in two formats:
-
A slim version designed to sit under a patch or pouch.
-
A fat version designed to attach a strobe and integrate with our Counterweight Heavy.
Hook-and-loop-based helmet retention systems for night vision devices have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and ease of use while allowing to be removed on the fly. The NUTSOF lanyard stands out from others on the market because it incorporates a thermoplastic backer for added rigidity. This rigidity allows the lanyard to be more compact and lower-profile compared to others. The thermoplastic ensures that pulling and shearing forces are evenly distributed across the loop surface while achieving the lowest possible signature. Night vision/Thermal devices are a significant investment, and no risk should be taken lightly when it comes to protecting them.

Frequently asked questions
I want to add stuff to my previous order, what should I do?
Just place your second order and write in the notes the order number you want to combine with. We'll reimburse the difference for shipping if needed.
My gear is fraying and small strings are coming out, is it normal?
Yes, it is normal wear and tear.
Can Tegris be bent?
Yes, BUT you'll want to refer to the product's instructions. Some of our products are designed to be bent while others are not.
Does laminate material tear more easily than traditional nylon?
Laminate material is actually more resistant and tougher than your traditional 500D Cordura.
The laminate is manufactured by combining 500D Cordura to 1000 Cordura with a glue. This results in an extremely abrasion-resistant material.
It is because of this very material that we can create designs that could never have been possible with your traditional nylon.
The elastic material on my product has black string coming out. Is this normal?
That is normal wear and tear for elastic materials. It is only one of the few hundreds of elastic strings that composes the width of the material.
